Brother spends Mandela Day at Tidimane Secondary School
Tshwane, 18 July 2018 – On what would have been Nelson Mandela's 100th birthday, Brother International South Africa staff members in association with Bopang Distributions and TBL spent the day with the students and teachers of Tidimane Secondary School in Sandfontein, Rustenburg as a Mandela Day Initiative.
The Tidimane School Project is focused around preparing the current 2018 matric students for their final year-end examinations. After a warm welcome from the School Principal, traditional council and staff members, the Brother team got involved with painting three Matric classrooms as well as donating stationery packs, blankets for the girls and warm winter socks for the boys.
A special moment for the Brother team was the address by Queen Mma Kgosi Pilane of the Royal House Motsoaledi of the North West. Ït is important to give back to our communities and help educate the children of South Africa" she said.
Tidimane Secondary School has successful Matric results with 2017 pass rates of 41% Diploma, 33% Bachelors and 26% Matric Certificate.
